The Melbourne University Sports Association Annual Blues Dinner

Each year, the Melbourne University Sports Association celebrates the outstanding sporting achievements of their students through an Annual Dinner, which incorporates the Blues and other significant Sports Awards.

This year special guest Cameron McKenzie-McHarg (Science alumna and Beijing Olympic Silver medalist- Rowing) helped congratulate the following major award winners:

Club, Team or Individual Performance of the Year:  Volleyball Club (Men's)
Club Personality of the Year:   Duncan McKenzie (Lacrosse)
Club Coach of the Year: Hugh Van Cuylenberg (Cricket)
Female Athlete of the Year:  Alice McNamara (Rowing/Distance Running)
Male Athlete of the Year: Lachlan Norris (Mountain Biking)
Team/s of the Year:  Women's Netball / Women's Rowing
Best Club Award: Kendo Club
2008 Lazer-Law Medalist: Marieke Guehrer (Swimming)

A dinning room of 200 old and new Blue recipients and other guests enjoyed a beautiful dinner as well as being treated to the Key Note Speaker’s address, made by Vice-Chancellor – Professor Glyn Davis.
