AVL players selected for Australian camp

Nine University Blues volleyballers have been selected to attend an Australian training camp where a national team will be chosen to compete in the 2008 Asian Cup. The players selected are Lauren Bertolacci, Rhiannon Watt, Tarsha Praski, Erin Ross, Education graduate Louise Bates, Dani Stott, Rebecca Walter, Shannon Campbell and Science student Neira Borcic.

Meanwhile, University Blues went 2 -2 in round three of the Australian Volleyball League in Adelaide on the weekend, defeating teams from WA and QLD, but going down to their NSW and SA opposition. The University Blues finished second overall after the regular season, and now head to Sydney for the finals (25 – 27 July) confident of defending their 2007 National Champions title.
