![]() Irie Hill takes world W40 record to new level Preparing for the forthcoming European Masters Indoors in Ancona, Italy next weekend Irie Hill has shown she is in great form clearing 3.65m to break the W40 world record. Entering the competition at 3.45m Irie cleared first time before moving up poles and clearing 3.65m on the second attempt and then going on to 3 unsuccessful attempts at 3.85m. Attributing her recent return to the sport, and form, to her ankle injury finally clearing up Irie stated afterwards, "Very happy to get the record and now I am on big poles again I am happier still knowing there is more to come.
