![]() MUGARS avenge last round's losses Stung by last round’s poor performances, the MUGARS were keen to rectify their losses and reaffirm themselves as title favorites. For round 6, two MUGAR teams collected wins, whilst the Premier Reserves had a BYE. The MUGAR Premiers thrashed their Diamond Creek opponents, 13.16- 94 to 4.9- 33. Following game strategies, the girls dodged through the defense and obstructed offensive attacks - leaving little hope for Diamond Creek to retaliate. Belinda Blay led the goal haul - with 4 to her name. Lizzie Williams and Dale Robinson kicked 3 and 2 respectively. Michelle Dench, Kristin Douglas, Tracey Ashley and C Smyth kicked one goal each. The Premiers are ranked 2nd on the leaders ladder. Jo Silcock, Belinda Blay, Jess Egan, Jane Clifton and Lizzie Williams were named best players for Melbourne University. The MUGAR North West Conference Team defeated Lalor, 6.14- 50 to 2.7- 19. They are currently third on the ladder and are scheduled to play Hadfield at the Main Street Reserve. |
