2009 Scholarships & Grants Guidelines
Melbourne University Sport and the Melbourne University Sports Association (MUSA) provide student-athletes with a range of scholarships and grants each year. The Sport Scholarship program offers financial and/or in-kind support to both new and continuing student-athletes with the aim of assisting these students to reach their sporting potential whilst studying at the University of Melbourne.
The program’s High Performance Scholarships, Friends of the Sports Association Scholarships, Vice-Chancellor’s Elite Athlete Grants, World University Games/Championship Grants and Team Melbourne Grants are available to Melbourne University students only. Club Coaching Grants and ScholarFit Strength & Fitness Memberships are available to Melbourne University students and/or MUSA Club members.
High Performance Scholarship for 2008 were awarded to Victoria Brown (Water Polo - Australian representative); Kim Crow (Rowing – Beijing Olympian); Angela Darby (Modern Pentathlon – Beijing Olympian); Chris Gronow (Water Polo – Australian representative); and Alice McNamara (Rowing – 2008 World Champion in the Lightweight Quad Scull).
