Melbourne University Sport provides all enrolled students with the opportunity to represent the University in a variety of regional, national and international sporting competitions.
The University of Melbourne’s sporting teams are collectively known as Team Melbourne. The majority of inter-university sporting opportunities are provided through Australian University Sport.
Having won the three of the past four Australian University Games crowns, combined with intervarsity victories against other Universities dating back to 1870, the University is well positioned as one of Australia's premier sporting Universities.

Other inter-university sport representative opportunities are also listed in this site under the Calendar menu. Sportsmen and sportswomen should also contact our relevant Team Managers and Coaches for information on try-outs, training and team selection.

Students selected to represent the University of Melbourne become part of a select group of sport alumni who can say they have represented one of Australia's most successful sporting Universities. Sports Blues are also awarded to student-athletes for outstanding sporting achievement at inter-university sporting events.
